Frequently asked questions

How do I know a part will fit my machine?

Every parts page has a section called “Fits these machines” listing the model numbers the part is specified for. If your exact model is listed, it fits. If it is not listed, do not assume — email us the model number and we will check.

Where is the model number on my sewing machine?

On a plate or sticker on the machine itself: usually the front of the base, the right-hand side, the back near the power socket, or underneath. It is not the name on the lid. Our guide shows where to look for each brand.

What does “compatible” mean on a product page?

A compatible part is made by a third-party manufacturer to fit the named machine. It is not made by the machine’s brand. We label every compatible part as compatible; parts made by the machine’s manufacturer are listed under that manufacturer’s name.

Do you dispatch the same day?

No. Orders are released to the warehouse the next business day. Tracking is emailed when the parcel ships.

Is the item in stock?

We ship from a distributor’s warehouse and do not publish live stock counts. If an item is unavailable after you order, we email you before anything else happens and you choose between waiting and a full refund.

How much is shipping?

Free on US orders of $50 or more. Below $50 the charge is shown at checkout before you pay.

Do you ship outside the United States?

Currently US only.

Can I return a part if it does not fit?

Yes, within 30 days, unused and in its original packaging. If you ordered the wrong part you pay return shipping; if our page listed your model and it was wrong, we pay.

Which bobbin class does my machine take?

It depends on the model, not the brand — the same brand uses several classes. Check the bobbin case or manual, or use our bobbin guide. Never buy bobbins by brand name alone.

Which needle system do I need?

Most household machines take 130/705 H (also written 15×1). Sergers and industrials use their own systems — ELx705 for many sergers, DBx1 for many industrials. The system is printed on the needle packet; the size (e.g. 80/12) is separate. See the needle guide.

Do you sell to repair shops and dealers?

Yes. Trade accounts get tiered pricing and reorder by part number. Apply on the wholesale page.

Do you repair machines or sell locally?

No. We are online only, based in New Jersey, with no repair service and no walk-in store.

Is there a discount on my first order?

Yes — 25% off your first order when you sign up with your email. Tables, machines and heavy items are excluded.

How do I contact you?
