Feed Dog Metal for Singer 600, 620, 630 and 640 Series (Compatible)

If your Singer needs a new feed dog, this is the part listed for the Singer 600, 620, 630 and 640 Series. Supplied as a compatible aftermarket part — it is not a manufacturer-original part.

This list comes from the distributor's listing for this part. If your model is not named, do not assume it fits — check the part you are removing against the specification below, or ask us with your model number before ordering.

What this part does

The feed dogs are the toothed bars under the needle plate that move the fabric forward one stitch length at a time. Teeth wear flat with use and the fabric stops feeding evenly, particularly on fine or slippery cloth.

Specifications

How to tell if this is the right one

Match by the model list. Feed dogs are specific to the needle plate slot layout, tooth count and the mounting on the feed bar.

Signs you need this part

Fabric does not feed, feeds unevenly, drifts to one side, or the stitch length is shorter than set. Teeth visibly rounded or chipped.

Fitting it

Remove the needle plate, release the feed dog screws from above, swap and refit. Check the feed dog height against the manual before sewing.
